OK FrackQuake: 5.6 near Pawnee, 25 miles from Cushing

Norman – 09-03-16: At 7:05 a.m. Saturday, an earthquake registering 5.6 magnitude on the Richter scale was felt from Houston to Kansas City, Missouri and beyond.  often called Frack Quakes by the victims in Oklahoma, the  social media immediately lit up. The US Geologic Survey records the epicenter and depth at 6 miles. Click link above for visual.

Many Oklahomans are posting headlines from 2015 which reported Governor Mary Fallin signing into law a statute  that prevents OK cities and towns from banning fracking.

The British paper, Daily Mail, reports about a recent study of re-awakened faults and probability of major earthquakes to follow.
